About cours

YOUR EASY START to 3D GRAPHICS

Great as a first experience if you haven't worked in 3D yet and wanted to get started, try what it's like to create models. In this course, together with the instructor you will create your first 3D model, set up the light and render.

Basic principles of modeling, basic functions of the program

Modeling basics, modeling tools, modeling under Subdiv

Hard-Surface modeling, principles of working with light and camera

Rendering theory, working with light and materials, Rendering and post-processing

10  lessons of 2 hours 30 minutes each

The class schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday.
8 intense lessons of 2 hours 30 minutes each
Class time 17:30-20:00

  • Discussion of custom interfaces
  • Navigation
  • Working with keyboard shortcuts
  • Creating your own interface
  • Calibrating a scene, working with blocks in Blender

Creating 3D objects

  • Modeling polygons based on reference materials (practice)
  • Modeling with modifiers (practice)
  • Importing 3D models from external files (.fbx, .obj)
  • Importing 3D models from native . blend files (practice)
  • Manage objects in a scene / work with collections
  • Using primitive shapes to create a scene composition

UV mapping

  • Introduction to object mapping
  • Prepare objects for texturing / UV mapping
  • Composition Arrange the objects in the scene to get an interesting natural composition softskills, logic

Materials

  • Introduction to PBR materials/creating photorealistic materials compatible with rendering based on light physics
  • Discuss material types and their features
  • Create basic material types using the basic BSDF node and textures

Camera

  • Hard-Surface modeling, principles of working with light and camera Lighting
  • Discussion of camera functionality / virtual camera vs. physical camera (briefly)
  • Placing cameras on stage and setting their parameters

  • Export renders to various formats using composition editor nodes

MORE INFORMATION

This class will help students understand how powerful 3D is and how to take advantage of different techniques to translate 2D skills into full 3D scenes. Students will render multiple scenes while learning to incorporate 3D techniques into their concept art workflows. Initially the course will focus on the essential 3D tools to quickly generate great 3D base images that can be presented as blockouts ready to be polished in a painting software like Photoshop.

I've always wanted to start making models in 3D, no matter how many tutorials I watch, it's not that easy. Good thing I found this 3d blender course at bartschool, now I can safely submit a porftolio for game graphics and 3d models to university. Thank you

Studying 3D was easy, even homework every day is cool, but now I'm creating models in blender and learning how to do textures and some animation in blender. Cool.

Great summer, now I know how to make 3 D models! Taisia teaches very cool, explains clearly, you can ask for a link to the video and discuss the portfolio. That's what I need. See you again.
